Introducing The Main Cast of DW: COI (9-9)

 

Scraps! 

Scraps was the third toon to be located. Having sustained minimal injuries thanks to seemingly getting lucky with her fall, only having a few creases that she needed to get out.

They were the one to find Rodger, and also the one to realize Dandy was likely somewhere under the rubble, considering his shop location.

Scraps is, in all, extremely helpful when she knows what needs to get finished. But much like their brother, she can be a bit airheaded at times.

Goob! 

Goob was the seventh toon to be found, and the least injured aside from Scraps. He's a bit silly and takes a little while before he truly understands the severity of the situation they're in, but tries his best to help anyway!

He wants to help as many toons as he can, and is very willing to do almost anything someone requests, especially if it's something only he can do.

Goob is also the one who actually manages to find Dandy and get him out from under the rubble.

Introducing The Main Cast of DW: COI (7-9)

 

Gigi! 

Before finding Dandy, Gigi was the last to be found and rescued from the wreckage. All the items she had held within her head had fallen out and gone missing during the crash when she broke open the top of her capsule.

She feels odd not having a whole bunch of items, but the group at least does allow her to hold anything they find down here, on the condition that she must hand the item over if they need it.

She begrudgingly agrees.

Cosmo! 

Cosmo was the sixth of the toons to be found, and upon seeing the state of everybody else, decided to heal the ones who appeared to be the worst. Despite not being able to heal as much as he would've liked, he still helped fix up the worst of the injuries.

Much like Poppy, he's also very much questioning the logistics of that fall. How did they even manage to survive such a fall? And how come one of the most dangerous threats they'd encountered in their day-to-day appeared to be the most injured of them all upon finding him?

Brightney! 

Brightney was the fifth toon to be found, and upon discovering that the bulbs in the sockets down in this cave were not broken, but rather had no power provided to them, Goob grabbed one of them and gave it to her. Replacing the one that got damaged during the crash and allowing her to function as their main light source.

She's not at all used to being the most important toon in a group, but has quickly been shoved into that role while they navigate these pitch-black caves.

Turns out...something else is down here too. And it's very sensitive to light.

Introducing The Main Cast of DW: COI (4-9)

 

Poppy! 

Poppy was the first of the toons to wake up in the aftermath of the elevator crash, finding Tisha and helping her out not much longer after.

Despite how bleak the current situation is, she is trying her best to be morale for the group, and doing a much better job at it than Dandy is. 

While it is in both of their natures to be happy-go-lucky, Dandy has been through and done stuff Poppy hasn't, making it easier for her to maintain that attitude.

She does question how they managed to survive such a nasty crash, but won't bring that up in her attempts to keep the mood lighthearted. 

On top of that, she believes they will make it out. But is unsure how long it may take.

Rodger! 

Rodger was the fourth toon to be rescued, and after Rodger was found by Scraps, he quickly went to what he does best. Analyzing their current situation and finding possible solutions to their, now, many problems. 

He makes a lot of the decisions and acts as a sort of leader for the group. He helps them avoid dangerous areas multiple times, and is the first to notice that while there don't appear to be any Twisteds that have followed them...

They're not alone.

Introducing The Main Cast of DW: COI (2-9)

Dandy! 

Due to his shop being in a compartment directly below the elevator, this meant that when the elevator went down, he went down with it. 

The other toons discovered him last, pinned under some rubble, and managed to drag him out with Goob's help.

Now, in a situation he has less control over, being just as lost and confused as the other toons, he decides to be more helpful than he usually is and tags along with the others while on the hunt for a way out of these caves.

On top of this, he also has to manage his irritation with some of the choices the other toons make while stuck down here to ensure he doesn't go twisted mode and make an already bad situation worse.

Tisha! 

Tisha was just about to request a ride back to the top so she could heal herself when the elevator fell. She was the second one rescued from the wreckage of the elevator and mainly serves as one of the side characters in the core crew. 

While she may not do much in the story, she's very important for the development of other characters later on. Who? I won't spoil.

Information About Dandy's World: Caverns Of Ichor!

 Welcome to The Caves Beneath Gardenview!

(As more information about the AU is made, more will show up here!)

What Is Caverns Of Ichor?

DW: Caverns of Ichor is an AU taking place in 2018, or 16 years after the closure of Gardenview. 

Due to the toons not having been taught how to maintain elevators, and having only managed to figure out basic interior care over time since closure, there ends up being a lot of wear on the elevator. 

Eventually, one day, during a group's normal trip down into Gardenview to once again extract ichor, the wires snap, the safety brakes fail to engage, and the elevator falls far down into the deepest depths of Gardenview. 

Down to a section that had been lost to time.

The toons who are now stuck down there must find a way out, discover the best-kept secrets of both Gardenview and their own creation, and survive a creature that has been long forgotten.

Who Are The Characters?

There are a few groups of characters in DW: COI. Let's start with the most important one.

In The Caves

Down in the caves, we have a total of nine toons.

How Will This AU Work?

Currently, with how this is planned to be structured, here's how this AU will be formatted.

Once the first part of any arc is finished, it will be uploaded and linked on the Masterlist accordingly, from there, it will update with a new part every Saturday.

 

If there is reason as to why I was unable to update it that week, I will make a post to make a brief reasoning as to why, and give an estimated date that it will be ready by.

 

This will continue until the arc is finished, there will also be art pieces within every single arc, but it will vary depending on how many scenes I feel need art.

Now, this is the part that may change depending on how people want to interact with the AU.

Once an arc comes to an end, I will make an ATT (Ask The Toons) post. You can ask any of the introduced characters any question you'd like. The comments on the post will be open for two weeks before I close them and start working on the answers. 

The toon(s) you ask will respond in character based on the point they're at in the story with either art and text, or just text.

I would respond to as many as I can, and once I either finish all of them, or can't do anymore, I will make a post announcing the end of "Arc # ATT Is Now Over!" and I will provide a date I will return for the next arc to start.

Welcome to The Inked Hideout! + Meet the Characters!

Hello! Welcome to The Inked Hideout, where I'll mostly be posting blog-based AUs! 

The only one that is being worked on at the moment is a Dandy's World AU. Dandy's World: Caverns Of Ichor. More info on that AU coming in a different post near you!

Anyway, this specific post is not only to introduce this blog, but also to introduce the non-fandom characters you will see being named and sometimes even pop up themselves throughout.                                                                            

So, time to meet the characters!

Inky

While technically being their own character, Inky mostly serves as a self-insert for me! 

Inky uses She/They pronouns and is depicted as being a creature in a mostly humanoid shape made fully out of ink. 

She represents modern-day me, and therefore doesn't always have a solid characterization, as it will change alongside me. 

Inky will have interactions with the other characters and will sometimes serve as a Word of god presence in posts.

Pretty much, if it looks like Inky is talking about something meta, Inky is talking about something meta.

Mira

Mira! My beloved :3

Mira is my longest existing OC and has been through many phases. While she acts more as a mascot for me nowadays, there are still remnants of her character from back when she acted as my persona.

These include, namely, the use of She/They pronouns, and most importantly, the Word of god capability. While I will mainly use Inky for this, if it makes sense in the current context, I may use Mira. Keep that in mind.

Aside from that, Mira is a Xaion (ZI-on), which tldr: is a species that is the physical embodiment of their concept, and therefore controls it. 

Mira themself is the Xaion of Time and Matter, as both came into existence at the same time.

She presents herself as a child somewhere in the eight-to twelve-year range with long purple hair and wings.

Yumi

Yumi is the newest of these characters and acts like Inky in the way that it represents me, but instead of modern-day me, Yumi represents me as a little kid, so from ages five to eleven, pretty much.

It uses It/It's pronouns, and while I doubt it will show up all too much in the posts, it may show up, which is the main reason it has a section here.

It does not have Word of god, and I will never use Yumi for anything meta.
